We conduct periodic inspections as a standard service. Beyond statutory inspections, we propose tailored inspection plans customized for each specific site. If any defects are identified, we provide end-to-end solutions from proposing countermeasures to full implementation. Approximately 70 percent of the capacity managed by Shizen Operations is extra high voltage (EHV) solar power plants. We handle statutory annual inspections, including private transmission lines.

We monitor 365 days a year from our remote monitoring center in Sendai down to the string level. Rapid fault detection ensures accurate evaluation of energy yield. We submit monthly reports to customers containing daily monitoring data, including irradiance, energy yield, and Performance Ratio (PR) helping customers understand the operational status of their assets.

Power plant equipment faces various failures, such as initial defects, aging, and damages from disasters, or malfunctions. We propose the optimal repair methods for any affected equipment. Leveraging our established relationships with domestic and global suppliers, we ensure speedy procurement and warranty negotiations. We also handle repowering aimed at improving power generation efficiency and digitization works for curtailment compliance. Our team can propose comprehensive maintenance and equipment renovation solutions from the three perspectives of civil, electrical, and telecommunication engineering.

As a licensed construction business, Shizen Operations seamlessly handles civil engineering works for power plant repairs. Our experienced civil engineers who have supervised the construction of numerous extra high voltage and high voltage solar power plants in Japan inspect not only the power plant premises but also the surrounding areas to evaluate disaster resilience and vulnerability. In addition to proposing countermeasures for current issues, we implement preventive measures if signs of potential future risks are identified.

O&M for grid-scale storage batteries (battery plants) requires a 24/7 constant monitoring system in addition to compliance with the Electricity Business Act and the Fire Service Act. Thorough maintenance in accordance with electrical safety standards is critical to prevent accidents, but managing this in-house poses major hurdles such as maintaining specialized knowledge and operational framework.

At Shizen Operations, utilizing our years of solar O&M for experience, we not only provide remote monitoring and periodic inspections, but also expert response in the event of any incident. In the unlikely event of an issue, our expert staff with knowledge on electricity market systems and operation rules will work with aggregators to minimize business risks.
